What we look after.
Comprehensive eye exams for the whole community, medical management of the conditions an exam turns up, and a dry eye clinic that does more than hand you a bottle of drops.
Eye exams and eye health

Comprehensive eye exams
Friendly, honest eye exams for students, staff and the surrounding community, checking the health of your eyes as well as your prescription.
Diabetic screening
We are equipped to diagnose and manage diabetes. The small blood vessels it affects are easily visualized with retinal photography and scans, and once diabetes is diagnosed the retina is monitored regularly to help detect poor blood sugar control.
Glaucoma management
We are equipped to diagnose and manage glaucoma. Once it is diagnosed we work with you to manage the condition with prescription eyedrops and regular monitoring, and we refer to a specialist in the cases that need laser treatment or surgery.
Dry eye and eyewear
Restorative Dry Eye Clinic
A wide variety of treatment options for troublesome dry eye symptoms. We do more than simply prescribe drops or hot compresses, there is no wait for a specialist referral, and every treatment is administered by a qualified eye doctor.
Pre- and post-operative care
If you are having eye surgery, your pre- and post-operative care can be managed here, with all the relevant information forwarded to your specialist. We are here to make sure you heal well and meet no unforeseen difficulties in your recovery.
Glasses and contact lenses
Prescription eyewear from our optical lounge. Ask about the best frames for your face and your prescription, and about lens options including index, night vision and blue light lenses.

From scheduling my appointment to getting my eye exam, the service was amazing. The ladies in the front were so accommodating and kind. The vibe of the clinic made me feel comfortable and not cold like other optometries. 10/10 would recommend.
I had an excellent experience at Old Street Optometry from start to finish. The whole process was smooth, professional, and welcoming, and the team made everything feel easy and stress-free. A special thank you to Fereshta, who was incredibly attentive throughout my visit. She followed up with me, was very patient, and took the time to help me through every step.
